Best home buys, a series about getting the right things for our home at the right price. Not always expensive, not always a bargain, just the right price for us.
This month started with a big item, a sofa for the kitchen. I knew what I wanted and had a budget, we came in under at £285 with this perfect Harvey’s ex display 3 seater. The grey with yellow accents is a stylish combination.
To complete the area I wanted a small table, definitely inexpensive and light. B&M Stores had the perfect one and it was £12.
Continuing with B&M Stores a basket needed for throws. We use the throws as emergency covers for when our Ralf runs in from a wet garden. I bought the Ombré Wicker basket (above) for £7.99.
We’ve been focusing a lot on the garden since Spring started. We had it renovated last year with slate borders and sleepers so this year it needs softening up with flower filled planters. These flower tubs are like old tin baths and cost £9.99, again from my fave B&M. The flowers are from a small independent garden centre close to where we live.
This month’s random item I didn’t buy, it came in the goody bag from the BlogOn Conference. I think it’s something I’m going to find really useful, bin bags with elastic tops! who doesn’t love innovative household stuff.
I look forward to highlighting my June purchases. And as the teenager has asked for new shelves to display his trainers (really) I’ll be on a mission.
